3 Additional Tips for Effective Ad Overlays

Here are 3 simple tips to ensure your overlays are effective:

1. USE SIMPLE, AND EASY-TO-UNDERSTAND TEXT.

When creating social media ads, it’s critical that your imagery showcases your products in a way that is well lit, with good angles, and straight to the point. The same goes with your text. Include text overlays that are easy to read and simple to understand.

2. NUMBERS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS

Use numbers in your overlays to get attention to your ads. Point out percentage off, 2 for 1, or slashed sales prices to assert a great deal. People understand value when given numbers, so using them throughout your ads will drive both the point home and your sale.

3. STATE THE BENEFIT

Spell it out: include the benefits through both imagery and text overlay. Display each product in a way that showcases its best angles, colors, and style. Then use text overlays that blatantly include its top features. Using copy such as customer reviews, information such locally made, and positive descriptors will help customers recognize the value of your products.
